PHASE III PROFICIENCIES

All NELP Standards, Butler proficiencies, and accomplishments completed in Phase III are below. Click on the button next to each proficiency to view my summary and reflection.

10. Law.  Evaluate, communicate, and advocate for ethical and legal decisions on a social, school, or community issue. (NELP 2.2) 

11. Model personal and professional code of ethics.  Provide evidence that models ethical behavior in your personal conduct and relationships and to cultivate ethical behavior in others. (NELP 2.3)

12. Choice Proficiency.  Using NELP Standard 2, participate in a leadership activity related to this standard and write summary and reflection providing adequate evidence of meeting this standard. (NELP 2)

14. Equity Audit.  Conduct an equity audit of a field site and then uses this audit to articulate a plan for cultivating and advocating for equitable access to educational resources, technologies, and opportunities that support the educational success and well-being of each student.  (NELP 3.2)

16. Evaluate and disaggregate school discipline data. Evaluate and disaggregate school discipline data. Advocate for a data-informed and equitable system focusing on the well-being of all students. Share outcomes with appropriate school personnel. (NELP 3.3)

22. Curriculum and Instruction.  Evaluate and analyze school’s curriculum, instruction, technology, data and assessment practices and share improvement strategies with school leadership. (NELP 4.4)

40. Participate in recruiting, selecting, and hiring a new faculty member.  Participate in the screening and employment of new teaching or administrative personnel. (NELP 7.1)

43. Develop and administer a professional development program, PLC, or in-service for certified staff. Using data and the latest educational research, provide teachers with a professional development program that will lead to increased student learning. (NELP 7.3)
